The MIL-150483 is an upgrade replacement for the discontinued mercury battery part
number MMI 90-301. As such it meets or exceeds all requirements as specified in Purchase
Description, Battery, Life Support Radio Primary, per MMI 90-301 dated 30 March 1993 and
in accordance with the contract modification expressed at that time. This battery powers the
AN/URT-33B-1 Radio Beacon set for the F-4 ejection seat. Per the original drawing it
remains as a non-rechargeable battery, and is insulated on all exterior surfaces.
